Snark Bites: 2 Easy Twitter Tips

At a glance, Twitter seems really darn simple. Type 140 characters. Hit send. However, the longer I use it, the more I've come to realize how powerful the software is, and also that there are hidden features just waiting to be discovered.

Here are 2 useful tips for utilizing Twitter more effectively.

1.  Tweets can be embedded in blog posts. To obtain the HTML code, click on the Three-Dots symbol on the bottom of the tweet, like so:

Next, select "Embed Tweet" from the drop down menu. Another box will pop up.

Copy the highlighted HTML code and paste it beneath the HTML tab of your target blog post. Like so:
Voila!

2. Tweets can be pinned to the top of your home page. When someone views your home page, they will see your pinned tweet, and know that's the one you'd like retweeted.

Pinning a tweet is easier than embedding one. Click on the Three-Dots symbol on the bottom of the tweet, like so:

Next, select "Pin to your profile page" from the drop down menu. A box will pop up asking you to confirm.

Click "Pin" and you're done.
